I am an introvert.
This statement surprises people sometimes because they find me so sociable and outgoing. Well, guess what! Being an introvert doesn’t mean that you are shy or hate people. You are just wired a bit differently than extroverted people.
The only difference with extroverts is that extroverts recharge by hanging out with people and have less of a need for alone time.
I “recharge” by reading a book, playing a video game or by writing here on this blog. But you know what? I like people too! And I don’t think many people would call me shy. (Well… Maybe my parents. But to them, I am still their shy little girl. So that is ok ;)!)
Being an introvert is OK, there is nothing “wrong” with you and you can still be very successful.
Society might make you feel otherwise, but there are some great benefits that come with being an introvert. I could write it all out, but Psycg2Go made a beautiful animation about it, so I suggest you watch that instead!
Are you an introvert too? What is your “secret” superpower?
